Engineered for Coastal Living
Engineered around a cross-axis layout, the structure balances form and function by aligning with key site orientations and creating a breezeway that adapts to climate. Timber cladding ensures material consistency, while the elevated form allows for a functional undercroft, reimagined as a sheltered garden that integrates structural efficiency with environmental connection.
Delivered Outcome
The rear section of the home appears to float above the landscape, achieved through a finely resolved structural system. Exposed steel elements were intentionally integrated throughout, adding both function and character, and contributing to a semi-industrial aesthetic that complements the coastal setting.
